Well, Father, You know all the stuff going on in Byx’s & Autumn’s.

You know where they need you the most.

You know where they’re weak.

You know where they need healing.

Thank You for the way You’re walking in each of those areas, expressing grace & power as needed.

Thank You for their love of each other & their love for You.

Thank You for their love of Haiti & the Haitian people.

And thank You they continue to follow hard after you, & love Your people so actively.

And thank You for them both.

thank You, Father for the new life you’ve given Byx & Autumn in Haiti.

Use them,

grow them together, toward You, & toward each other

make their life together a greater & greater adventure in You

may they never settle for the good life, but always live life on the edge for You

and may they share the love they have found in You w/ all around them

In just a few days, Father, Autumn & Byx will be one – legally, spiritually, socially, physically, emotionally, psychologically. It’s SO obvious this is what YOU want. This is what they want. And it’s all gonna happen in just a few more days.

Thank You that you worked Your miracle in their lives, expressing Your dreams for both of them in a marriage & life together.

Thank You for all their going to share, & for the deep, solid, beautiful bond that will be theirs as they come together as husband & wife.

Thank You for the adventure that lies ahead for them – exciting, hard, loving, scary, and all led & guided by You.

Thank You that You love them SO much, that You’ve given them new life through Your Son, Jesus, that You’ve empowered them with Your Holy Spirit, & now they get to do life with You, together.

Please guard their hearts, their lives, & their adventure with You.

May their life together be filled with love, a lot of laughing, a lot of people finding You, and a fair amount of mischief.

Thank You for each of them, for their love for each other, & their love of You.

Father, pretty soon, Byx’s life is gonna change in ways about which he has no idea – he’s getting married!!!

Thank You, Father, for the miraculous thing you’ve done not only in his life, but in Autumn’s. Thank You from bringing them together in such a cool way & in such a cool place.

Thank You for their unity of heart for the Haitian people. Thank You for the unity of purpose to not live a prissy, safe little life, but to live a barbarian’s life, wild, wide-open, & adventuresome.

As they marry, thank You for helping them become one in so many ways – one in body, mind & spirit. Thank You for the deep, deep bond they will soon know between themselves – so much deeper than what they know now – a bond of “knowing” that is so miraculous, so wonderful, so great.

Thank You for protecting their hearts as they learn to be one. Thank you for the stresses & strains that will draw them closer to each other, & to you.

And Thank You for the powerhouse they are becoming for You. Thank You for the continual & continuing refining You are doing in their lives, burning away the dross in their lives, so they can live free & easy for You.

Thank You for all these things, & the gajillion others.

And most of all, thank You for You.

We love you, Father.

Father,
Help Byx to look straight ahead, into the future, & not be bogged down by the mundane & tedious.

Help him to fix his eyes on you & see what lies before him – a country longing for relief, from an earthquake, & from the years of bondage, poverty, voodoo, & sin – a country longing for You.

Show him how to mark out a straight, & safe, path to be You to the people of Haiti – to love, to live before them a life as Your son, Your disciple, Your follower.

Keep him from being sidetracked by all the urgent things that demand his attention, & focus on the main thing – You.

And deliver him from evil that would attack & injure him, as well as the evil one that would distract him from all You’ve called him to be & do.

thank You for this man, for all he is, for all he’s becoming. Thank You for Autumn, who’s very life & essence is changing him.

keep them safe, guard their hearts, & help them be You to the people of Haiti.

Well, Father, Byx is back in America, at his engagement party.

Thank You for this extraordinary year.

Thank You for all he’s learned.

Thank You for all he’s seen & absorbed.

Thank You for this marvelous woman who You gave him to love & to cherish, & to be loved and cherished.

Thank You for the ministry that is his in Haiti.

Thank You for the love he has for Haiti & even more for her people.

Thank You for all that has been, but most of all, thank you for all that will be.

So many things going on at the same time, Father, with this guy…

a fiance, & new, wonderful love,
frustration a system that drains,
overwhelming need that physical, mental, spiritual, psychologucal, emotional
Beauty in all kinds of unexpected places,
people, good, bed, & indifferent, all around him, always seeking, always hungry, also just there,

Thank You for Your sustain grace, mercy, & strength.
Thank You for what has been these few short months.
Thank You for what is ahead.
And thank You for Stephen, & his almost wife, Autumn,
keep them safe in You

Yes, Lord! Today I pray for Stephen. That his birthday would be the best one yet, that he would experience Your Spirit in new ways, that his strength and health and perseverance and resolve would grow exponentially, that he would wake up and go to sleep every single day in the peace of KNOWING that You, God, are glorified in his being in Haiti!!! I am so thankful to be even a small part of Stephen’s work in Haiti, and as I pray for my Compassion children Sofia and Lowentz, echoing their cries of desperation, I am thankful that YOU, OUR GOD, are already answering my prayers (and theirs too) for new homes and new Hope and Peace and Stability in Haiti through Your working through Stephen and Haiti Outreach Ministries. May Your favor rest on Stephen and his beautiful wife-to-be, and on Haiti Outreach Ministries for Your glory!! Amen and Amen.

Thanks, Father, for all the changes in Byx’s life.

He’s decided to stay for however long it takes to help heal Haiti.

He’s watched You provide funding for more time in his beloved Haiti.

But just as marvelous & miraculous, You’ve brought he & Autumn together, to love each other & to love You together.
Thank You for the union that is developing, & the union that will be after they marry.
Thank You for the love they have for the Haitian people & the desire they have to serve them.
Thank You for the BIG adventure You’ve placed them in, together.

Guard their hearts. Help them to keep their lives & relationship pure & focused on You as they move toward their wedding. Guard their sanity as they deal with all the pressures, expectations, & feelings of others attached to weddings. Help them to make their wedding a time of celebrations rather than a meeting of everyone else’s expectation..

In the days ahead, not matter what, may they continue to express & live before the people of Haiti, & their families the most important thing – Your love.

As Byx continues his travels in the mission field called America, help him to stay focused on his mission – right now, it’s not America. Yes, It’s good to see Your children here, but guard his heart.

Help him to always keep his people – the people of Haiti – the seat of his passion & focus.

I know what he’s experienced so far with You in the desperate country. At the same time, help Byx to hold on to Psalm 31:14-15a

“I am trusting in You, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in Your hands.”

Thank You for his life, thank You for his willingness to obey & be all You dreamed him to be.

So few are willing to be & do that.

Thank You for the strange & wonderful person You made that is Byx.

And help him to know he is loved & prayed for always.
