Mama Byxbe in Haiti
Sorry I didn’t get to write a blog last night… I was hanging out with my adopted family, Pastor Leon and Mrs Jacky. I love them to death. They are so much fun. It is so amazing to hear their story and to see their passion for this ministry. It is hard to not let it rub off on you. Needless to say we all had a great time.
This morning I got all the teams prepped and ready to go and then headed to the airport. My mom came in today! It was great seeing her come through the gate. I haven’t seen her in so long. My Aunt Karen also came with her – I haven’t seen her in a really long time. It was so much fun at the airport because I got to start introducing them to all of my airport security friends. We went to the compound and dropped off the bags and then headed straight out the door to go drive around the city. We started downtown at the National Cathedral, then the Palace, a lot of places in between and ended up at Epido’r for lunch. It was a great day.
We made it back to the compound at 1:15pm and they crashed. I had a meeting (teleconference) with Pastor Leon and Bill Glass about some upcoming projects. Afterward Pastor Leon was able to meet my mom. I then took Pastor Leon home so I could use his truck tomorrow so my mom got to visit Pastor Leon’s house.She has enjoyed the day full of sightseeing.
We had PUMPKIN SOUP tonight! It is always amazing.. I love it so much.
I am exhausted right now, so I am going to leave it with you. We are heading up the mountain tomorrow for some more fun sightseeing.
